About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President to take on a pivotal role in leading the Professional Liability business. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing strategic direction and overseeing all aspects of the business, including P & L responsibility, driving business growth, and ensuring financial success. This leadership position demands a strong focus on underwriting operations, managing underwriting results to meet financial goals, and fostering a culture of integrity and transparency. The SVP will also be responsible for talent management, including attracting, coaching, and developing a high-performing team, as well as maintaining key partnerships with various functional areas such as operations, claims, and finance.Applicants for the SVP Professional Liability role at the company should ideally hold a Bachelor's degree and have at least 10 years of progressive experience in Professional Liability underwriting and underwriting leadership. The role requires an individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, a keen ability to build and maintain relationships, and a proven track record of success in the industry. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Chief Casualty Officer on underwriting strategies, monitoring production activity, and proactively responding to market trends and regulatory changes.
