About the Role

The Company is seeking an SVP Underwriting to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the organization, with a primary focus on improving health outcomes and advancing health equity on a global scale. This role is pivotal in connecting people with the care, pharmacy benefits, data, and resources necessary for a healthier life. The SVP Underwriting will be responsible for leading all core underwriting functions, managing a large team of underwriters, and playing a critical role in achieving the company's sales and renewal financial targets. The position requires a strategic thinker with a strong business and financial acumen, the ability to influence go-to-market strategies, and a proven track record in client-facing negotiations and consulting.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 12 years in PBM pricing, underwriting, or strategy, and at least 5 years in a direct management role. The role demands a leader with the judgment to discern the important from the noise, a gritty and collaborative approach, and the ability to move seamlessly between strategic and tactical tasks. The SVP Underwriting will be expected to have a deep understanding of the market and distribution channels, develop channel-specific strategies, and ensure the competitiveness of the company's offerings. Strong communication skills, effective relationship building, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization are essential. An advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable, as is experience in managing a P&L.
