- Role can be fully remote however preference is this person lives near Long Island, NY (CT,NYC,NJ,PA).
- This role is NOT at a CPA firm. However, could be a great role for someone who is looking to exit public accounting but enjoys a career in Tax.
Responsibilities:
- The Tax Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of tax returns and supplemental forms, and extensions.
- Calculate Distribution Requirements
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations relevant to affluent clients.
- Analysis of K-1s
- Provide proactive client communication and support on tax-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in tax accounting - ideally dealing with non profits, estates & trusts, high net worth
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- GoSystem Tax RS experience is a plus
