About the Role

The Company is seeking a Business Risk and Control Officer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a strategic professional with a strong background in risk and controls, making a significant impact through the management of complex deliverables. This role requires a recognized technical authority in the field, with the responsibility of providing advice and counsel related to business technology and operations. The Business Risk and Control Officer will be instrumental in contributing to governance, executing risk and control self-assessments, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the control framework implementation. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential for guiding and influencing colleagues, both within the business and occasionally external customers.Applicants should have 6-10 years' of experience, with a focus on operational and compliance risk management. The role demands a professional with a basic commercial awareness, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to assess risk and make business decisions with a keen eye on the firm's reputation and client safeguarding. A background in financial services, experience with third-party vendor management, and a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) are required.The candidate will be part of a growing team within the Client CAO Controls function, and will have the opportunity to re-shape and streamline control processes. The role also involves proactively identifying emerging risks, engaging in process improvement, and ensuring a proactive approach to audit management.
