This role is pivotal in safeguarding the company's financial interests by identifying, assessing, and managing credit risk associated with funding solar and home improvement installers. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness and financial stability of partners, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaboration with various internal teams is essential to align risk management strategies, policies, and measurements. The role also involves market research to stay abreast of industry trends and emerging risks, as well as continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes.Applicants for the Vice President of Commercial Risk position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of experience in small business and/or commercial lending, preferably within a Bank or Fintech lender. A strong background in credit assessment and underwriting, familiarity with risk rating methodologies, and a proven track record in commercial risk management are required. The role demands strong analytical, data analysis, and interpretation skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
