About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP Commercial Strategy for the North American region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving commercial strategies that align with global initiatives and advocating for regional duty-free, duty-paid, and F&B priorities within the global corporate environment. This role involves close collaboration with operations and commercial department leaders to maximize business development, optimize operational performance, and ensure the success of commercial plans at the regional level. The VP Commercial Strategy will lead the development of annual commercial plans and strategies, monitor their execution and performance, and engage in cross-regional strategy sessions to foster a cohesive, One Team culture.Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years of experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role focused on commercial strategy programs. A strong background in the hospitality, F&B, and retail industry, including experience with duty-free retail operations and luxury brands, is essential. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to balance the needs of the business with those of various stakeholders. The VP Commercial Strategy will also be involved in the development of departmental budgets, leading a senior-level team, and driving a continuous improvement mindset to achieve positive results.The ideal candidate for the VP Commercial Strategy position at the company will have a proven track record in commercial strategy development and execution, with a focus on maximizing sales, revenue, and customer experience. A Bachelor's degree related to the functional area is required, and an MBA or Master's degree is a plus. The role is pivotal in ensuring the success of commercial plans at the regional level and demands a leader who can foster a positive work environment, lead teams to common goals, and optimize work processes. Up to 25% travel may be required for this role, which can be based at either the F&B Center of Excellence in Bethesda, MD, or the Retail Center of Excellence in East Rutherford, NJ.
