About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all accounting personnel, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of a broad range of accounting activities. This includes supervision of general ledger, financial reporting, accounting research, fixed assets, projects, inventory, consolidations, sales and receivables, audit, accounts payable, financial controls, and payroll. The role involves hiring, retention, and development of staff, as well as maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley controls and documentation. The VP Controller will also be involved in preparing internal and external financial reports, presenting findings to senior management, and supporting the CFO in financial reporting objectives.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field, and a CPA is required. A minimum of 15 years' of experience in accounting with a strong knowledge of GAAP and extensive expertise in public company reporting and SEC compliance is essential. The role demands a leader with demonstrated project management, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze complex information and present it effectively. The VP Controller will be expected to work well under pressure, have strong problem-solving abilities, and be adept at working both independently and as part of a team. Experience with a large integrated ERP/MRP computer system is necessary, with Oracle experience being preferred.
