This role requires a minimum of 10-15 years' experience in credit, lending, or workout areas, with a preference for those with a background in pre-cash flow start-up borrowers, particularly in the venture debt sector. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is also a minimum requirement.Key responsibilities for the Vice President Credit Officer include maintaining appropriate lending structures and controls, participating in the development of credit policies, and ensuring compliance with the company's credit policy, risk appetite limits, and all regulatory requirements. The role demands a professional with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to manage conflict. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying, evaluating, and discussing credit risk, and will be expected to contribute to the optimization of credit processes and the management of overall credit quality. Professional work experience in a bank setting is essential, and the role requires a candidate who is authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship.
