About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Finance and Accounting to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the financial health of the enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of key activities, including assessing and evaluating the organization's financial performance, providing insight and recommendations for growth plans, and creating annual financial objectives. This role involves leading the annual budget process, overseeing financial planning and reporting, and managing the investment portfolio. The VP will also be involved in financial management analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as in the development and enforcement of financial and accounting policies and procedures.Applicants for the Vice President of Finance and Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a CPA certification, and a minimum of 15 years' of related experience, including a significant tenure in nonprofit organizations. Advanced knowledge of contract negotiation and administration, as well as experience with financial systems such as Sage Intacct, is required. The role demands a results-oriented individual with strong leadership and management skills, the ability to lead a team, and a proven track record in a progressive leadership role. The candidate must be adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and have a high level of discretion in handling confidential matters. A Master's degree and previous business development experience with an association are preferred qualifications.
