About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Head of Abuse Prevention to lead its global abuse prevention team. The successful candidate will be a thought leader in modern abuse prevention strategies and tactics, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the field. Experience in heavily regulated industries such as finance, armed forces or government agencies is preferred. The role involves spearheading the abuse prevention strategy, particularly focusing on the arms race against bot activity and other abusive online behaviors that disrupt consumer access to live event tickets. The VP will be responsible for ensuring full coverage, visibility, and controls over online ticketing access, as well as for creating clear policies and guidelines that include deterrents against abusive behaviors.Applicants should have a proven track record in policy creation, guidelines, data collection, and process implementation. The role requires a minimum of 7 years' experience in managing large multi-disciplinary teams and at least 3 years of previous experience in managing bot detection and incident response. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and experienced in advocating and explaining abuse prevention to both internal executives and external stakeholders, such as clients, law enforcement, and government officials. The position demands a global perspective, with the ability to work across time zones and cultures. The VP will report directly to the Chief Information Security & Privacy Officer and will be a senior leader in the Corporate ISP, with a focus on protecting the interests of fans, clients, and the business from abusive digital behaviors.
