About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources with a strong background in strategic HR initiatives and a proven track record of driving organizational excellence. This visionary and results-oriented executive will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development and execution of HR programs that optimize the workforce, align with organizational objectives, and foster sustainable growth. The role involves actively participating in strategic planning, developing and implementing HR policies and programs, and leading large-scale projects with a focus on cultural transformation. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in HRIS implementation, organization development, performance management, and talent management, including succession planning. They must have the ability to influence, coach, and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, as well as the capability to lead change management initiatives and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with union leadership.Candidates for the Vice President of Human Resources position at the company should have at least 15 years of progressive HR management experience, with an undergraduate degree in HR, business, or labor relations, and a master's degree. Experience in a multi-site manufacturing organization with a professional staff is preferred. The role requires a hands-on, action-oriented, and creative approach, as well as a firm but fair and consistent leadership style. The individual must be adept at navigating between strategic vision and tactical execution, possess elevated business communication skills, and have a strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and compliance. Financial acumen and the ability to evaluate and ensure the competitiveness of HR programs and practices are also essential. The position is a hybrid role, with 40% expected travel to subsidiary manufacturing sites across the US.
