About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operations and site management of the Distribution Centers. This includes directing site leadership, planning and directing long-term operations objectives and ensuring profitable and safe operations. The role also involves overseeing compliance with regulatory guidelines, implementing safety and security programs, and managing personnel in union facilities, including the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements.Candidates for the VP of Operations position at the company should ideally possess a 4-year degree or a High School Diploma (or GED) with equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of operations experience, with at least 5 years in a management role, is required. The role demands a strong background in various job functions within distribution management, as well as knowledge of D.O.T. regulations, labor relations, and OSHA. The VP of Operations will be expected to have skills in customer service, budgeting, cost control, and PC skills. Responsibilities also include networking to share best practices and bring in industry know-how, and participating in the establishment of overall Distribution Center business goals.
