Confidential is Hiring a Vice President of Sales Near New York, NY

Must live in the NY metro area.

Soft Home Goods company with a focus on fashion bedding is looking for a VP of Sales. The Company manufactures and sells mostly private label soft home products in the fashion bedding or top of bed category to major retailers such as Macy’s, Costco, Walmart, Target, etc. The Company does $70M in sales and they would like to scale it to $100M through a strategic sales leader with a proven sales track record. Must have strong contacts in the Off-Price channel for future growth and be able to be hands on with Sales, lead Merchandising. Must know fashion bedding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Merchandising and Sales for all private label programs.
  • Open up new distribution channels for the company, specifically the Off-Price channel.
  • Formulate the strategy for both sales and merchandising for continued growth of the US business.
  • Hands on sales to all major accounts while opening up new distribution channels at the same time.
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Develop and achieve key KPI’s for continued company growth.
  • Partner with product development as it relates to new products for key customers.
  • Demonstrated success in taking a company “to the next level”, increasing top-line revenue, growth and improving margins.
  • Manage the Profit & Loss for the division and achieve the profit expectations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in “Fashion Bedding or Top of Bed”, soft home expertise is a must have for this role.
  • Current relationships in the Off-Price channel (TJX/Home Goods, Ross, Burlington, etc. - must have).
  • 10-12 years of experience in soft home goods Sales, with at least 4 years at the Director level.
  • Relationships with major retailers such as Kohl’s, Target, Wayfair, Overstock, Home Depot, Clubs, etc., a plus.
  • Experience with brick & mortar, Omni channel and pure play ecommerce retailers.
