About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Tax to lead and manage all tax functions within the organization. This senior role is pivotal in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on complex tax responsibilities that span SALT, federal, and international tax implications. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing global tax matters, particularly the intricate tax implications associated with the sale and shipment of products across different countries, each with its own set of tax regulations and currencies. A key requirement is a background that includes both public and private tax experience, ideally with a transition from a Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm to an industry role.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of tax experience, with a significant emphasis on international tax. A CPA or master’s degree is preferred. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in a similar leadership capacity, capable of navigating and providing strategic guidance on a wide range of tax issues. While the position may involve some on-site work in downtown Detroit, remote arrangements are also a possibility.
