About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Procurement to join its dynamic team. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the VP will be tasked with managing the Procurement Department staff, achieving performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and government regulations.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or a related area, with a strong preference for those holding a Master's or MBA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in the foodservice industry, with experience in strategic bid analysis, and a focus on the growth and development of exclusive brands. Responsibilities also include managing the marketing and merchandising function, as well as in-house logistics, and maximizing vendor financial participation. The role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the food distribution industry, and the ability to continuously improve purchasing strategies and processes.
