About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Research, Evaluation, and Quality Improvement to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the organization's mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing impact evaluation strategies for programs, policies, and movement-building, with a focus on upstream violence prevention. This role involves establishing and maintaining partnerships with external stakeholders, overseeing a multi-year research agenda, and ensuring that the organization's work is evidence-based and effectively contributes to the field. The VP will also be a key leader in the organization, working across the Senior Leadership Team to integrate research and evaluation into the strategic vision and providing direction on performance measures and data utilization.Applicants for the Vice President position should have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in applied research and leadership within a nonprofit setting, with a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field. Strong knowledge of research principles, design, and methodologies is essential, as is a proven track record of leading high-functioning teams and influencing across the organization. The role requires expertise in social sciences, strong writing and presentation skills, and the ability to translate complex information into practice. Experience in outcome measurement system design, data visualization, and a successful history of building evidence-based strategies are also key qualifications. The ideal candidate will be adept at continuous quality improvement, have a strong computer skill set, and be able to travel occasionally for the role.
