About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Research to provide vision and leadership in the growth and development of its research mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering innovation, advancing biomedical knowledge, and enhancing the research enterprise's capabilities in patient care and regional health. This role involves overseeing all research functions, including the management of research-intensive faculty, research space, equipment acquisitions, and IT services. The VP for Research will also work to ensure the financial viability of the research institute, maintain compliance and integrity in research activities, and promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive research culture. Collaboration with academic and clinical leaders, as well as strategic partners, is essential to facilitate interdisciplinary research programs and to enhance the profile of the research faculty and staff.Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D., or MD/Ph.D. and a minimum of 10 years' of research leadership experience in a health-related research setting. The role requires a proven track record in leading externally funded research programs, developing research initiatives, and supporting the professional growth of research faculty. The ideal candidate will be a recognized scientific leader with a strong publication record and experience in translating high-level goals into effective action plans. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are necessary for engaging with diverse audiences and fostering research collaborations. The VP for Research will also be responsible for the oversight of institutional research training and education programs, ensuring that faculty, staff, and trainees have access to state-of-the-art research opportunities.
