Cambium Learning Group is Hiring a Senior Vice President of Revenue Near Dallas, TX

Job Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Revenue is responsible for driving revenue growth and providing leadership across the sales and marketing functions, including Government Relations and Bids and Proposals strategy. This role reports to the President of Lexia and involves developing and implementing comprehensive revenue strategies, overseeing Lexia and Voyager Sopris Learning sales channels and marketing functions, building brand and fostering crucial relationships between teams and with key stakeholders. This role will be instrumental in defining our go to market strategy, driving growth of impact and resulting financial performance for Lexia. The ideal candidate is mission driven with a proven track record in scaling revenue streams, leading high-performing teams, and aligning sales and marketing efforts for maximum impact.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue growth strategy that encompasses both short-term financial goals and long-term strategic priorities for Lexia, focusing on driving top-line growth in alignment with market impact and profitability goals.
  • Manage teams to build market leadership, competitive strength and brand loyalty through customer stories, messaging and clear value statements.
  • Manage revenue and marketing KPI's, data driven sales and marketing processes, and forecasting accuracy to increase predictability and exceed budget targets.
  • Partner with the head of Customer Success to align and integrate sales and marketing activities with customer success strategies to achieve the maximum customer impact and maximize customer retention and expansion.
  • Partner with the Head of Strategy and Operations and Head of Product to evolve data strategy, and identify product and market growth opportunities.
  • As a member of Lexia's Senior Leadership team, collaborate on strategic vision, and execute initiatives to support the strategic direction of Lexia
  • Evolve and Implement a consistent sales and sales operations process to drive new revenue and account expansion.
  • Collaborate on the design of compensation and commission structures, in partnership with our compensation team, to incentivize and maximize team performance.
  • Evolve and manage government relations activity with state and large district stakeholders to create long term opportunity aligned with the funding environment.
  • Maintain engagement with key accounts and larger opportunities at the district or state-wide level.
  • Connect brand, digital marketing and market leadership with sales strategies and growth objectives.
  • Ensure sales and marketing channels meet consistently high performance standards through ongoing KPI measurement, training and support.
  • Lead teams through organizational changes and adapt to evolving market dynamics.
  • Oversee the annual expense budget for the revenue department.
Skills/Competencies:
  • Exceptional leadership skills including capability to model and foster collaboration and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capacity to develop a deep understanding of critical customer needs including State and District-level administrators and education professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive new customer growth, expand existing accounts, and consistently meet/exceed revenue targets.
  • Deep knowledge of sales strategy, encompassing account strategies, growth strategies, and alignment with marketing initiatives, to optimize revenue generation through effective segmentation, pricing, and KPI management.
  • Deep knowledge of marketing strategy, including demand generation, brand strategy and marketing KPI management.
  • Strategic thinker who can drive cross-functional goals and execute impact focused initiatives.
  • Experience in building and leading successful revenue organizations, including hiring and integrating new employees and partners.
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical and finance management experience, including SaaS business dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate a clear vision and inspire teams.
  • Ability to balance tactical execution with a strategic perspective.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA preferred
  • Active involvement in industry-related professional associations and networks
  • 15 years of revenue experience, with 7 years in senior management roles
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue targets and objectives
  • Experience in building and leading successful revenue organizations
  • Proven track record of success in selling instructional services and/or tech-based curriculum to the education market
  • Familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities associated with private equity-backed businesses
