Confidential is Hiring a Vice President, Total Rewards - Home Health Near Chicago, IL

Job Summary:

The Vice President, Total Rewards will be responsible for developing, managing and executing a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy for the organization. They will utilize their skills in strategic planning, problem solving, and team management to ensure that the company's reward systems are competitive, sustainable, scalable, and have a positive impact on the short and long-term performance of the organization.

**This position will work from their home office with quarterly travel expectations for on-site collaboration and department meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits, retirement programs, base pay, incentives, and other rewards.
  • Lead the annual benefits review and planning processes, including plan design changes and negotiating coverage and costs with vendors while ensuring risks and opportunities are articulated and addressed.
  • Develop and maintain salary structures, bonus plans and sales compensation programs.
  • Evaluate and revise the company's compensation program to align with organizational goals.
  • Lead the review, development and administration of competitive compensation, benefits, and programs that attract, motivate, and retain employees.
  • Manage the Total Rewards team, providing guidance, leadership and mentoring to direct and indirect reports.
  • Develop and manage the Total Rewards budget, including forecasts and trend analysis.
  • Work in close partnership with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the business needs and organizational culture.
  • Apply knowledge of external trends and best practices to continually assess the effectiveness of the Total Rewards programs.
  • Lead the process for annual compensation reviews and adjustments.
  • Conduct meetings with the executive leadership on matters of importance related to total rewards.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certification such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a Compensation and Benefits role, with a significant portion in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience designing and managing comprehensive Total Rewards programs in large organizations with a diverse population.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of compensation and benefits administration, job evaluation, and salary structure design.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.
  • Extensive experience managing teams and leading large-scale projects.
  • Strong ability to partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external service providers
  • Proficient in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), specifically systems related to compensation and benefits administration. Preferably Workday
