About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Translational Data Science, which is a key leadership role responsible for setting and driving the strategy to connect data from -omics platforms with genetics and population data. The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytics, including machine learning and data science, to identify and validate target selections, disease and patient linkages, and to drive precision medicine through the development of translational biomarkers and patient selection strategies. This position is pivotal in industrializing the process of drug discovery, particularly in the identification of novel gene-compound inferences and the development of biomarkers for therapeutic response. The VP will also be instrumental in the development and implementation of new computational tools and will lead a team of computational biologists and data scientists to execute the strategy.Applicants for the Vice President of Translational Data Science role at the company should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in computational biology, with a strong background in ML techniques across drug discovery and development. Key experience areas include functional and statistical genetics, -omics data analysis, and biomarker identification for precision medicine. The role requires a proven track record of integrating large-scale patient and population datasets with in vitro genomics and machine learning to transform the drug discovery process. Experience in developing and implementing precision medicine solutions in clinical development, as well as in managing and mentoring teams in a matrixed environment, is essential. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, growth-oriented, and have a passion for driving impact in the industrialization of the drug discovery process.
