Mt. San Antonio Gardens is seeking a skilled Grounds Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall campus landscape and plan, develop, and implement landscape and gardening projects.

Responsibilities

1. Performs all Grounds Department related tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow employees, staff and residents.
2. Supervises, trains and evaluates the performance of Grounds personnel.
3. Recommend work schedules for all assigned areas to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
4. Able to perform, if required, all aspects of grounds care including, but not limited to, mowing, edging, pruning, trimming, pesticide spraying, sweeping etc.
5. Manages the renovation of existing landscapes.
6. Manages new landscapes of vacant cottages, apartments and common areas.
7. Manages, programs and maintains central controlled irrigation system.
8. Cares for the health and inventory of campus trees.
9. Assists and collaborates with Lead Gardener on projects.
10. Advises the Vice President of Facilities & Project Management of the condition of the grounds by conducting inspections and reports problems back to the Vice President of Facilities.
11. Other work as assigned.
