The office of Congressman Brendan Boyle seeks a constituent services representative to help execute and administer the office’s constituent services operations.

Ideal candidates should :

• Have 2 years of relevant constituent services, social worker or other similar experience.
• Have a demonstrated ability to maintain and develop relationships with points of contact at a variety of local, state, non-profit, and most importantly, federal agencies.
• Have extensive experience with and be comfortable working with the general public.
• Have the ability to quickly learn and fluently navigate various software, including constituent relations management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office.
• Be able to work efficiently and effectively manage a dedicated constituent services caseload in a fast paced work environment.
• Have excellent and demonstrable verbal and written communication skills.
• Have excellent knowledge of, or extensive connections to, the 2nd congressional district.
• Being a resident of the district is not a strict requirement, but will be looked favorably upon.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish or another second language is not required, but would be desirable in a candidate.

The Constituent Services Representative will be responsible for :

• Working with the rest of the Congressman’s Philadelphia staff and under the District Chief of Staff to help administer the office’s casework operations, assisting constituents and other stakeholders with navigating a variety of federal, and on occasion, non-federal agencies.
• Maintaining their own issue-based casework portfolio.
• Developing relationships with relevant outside stakeholders within their casework issue area.
• Occasionally attending outside community events on the office’s behalf in relation to their casework portfolio.
• Assisting the Philadelphia staff with other office administrative duties.
• Other tasks as needed.
