Your New Job

Job Summary :

As a CDL Driver / Yard Hand / Mechanic, you will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials around the Yard and Warehouse and to and from various job sites.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Mechanic Shop, Yard, Warehouse, and grounds are neat, clean, and orderly.

Additionally, you will be responsible for handling some fleet mechanic responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to) :

• Operate company vehicles and equipment, as needed.
• Transport material and equipment to various job sites to support work and the Operating Unit.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the shop, yard, and warehouse.
• Travel out-of-town overnight to various job locations, specifically 1-3 nights / month.
• Deicing and snow removal of the office and yard locations, in the winter months (light).
• Conduct light mechanic duties.
• Perform other job responsibilities and duties, as assigned.
• This position is not limited to the responsibilities above and the selected employee may be asked to do conduct other responsibilities that would not generally be considered of a truck driver in other industries.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

General

• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work as a member or a team.
• Ability to communicate with employees, managers, vendors, and the Fleet Manager regarding work.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have an approved driving record.
• Ability to travel, and work weekends and evenings, as needed.
• Ability to work hours outside the basic 7am - 4pm schedule, and travel as needed (possibly over 8 hours / day, and over 40 hours / week, typically not more than 1 -3 nights / month).
• Ability to work in all types of weather (including extreme weather fluctuations, cold, snow, rain, sleet, heat, etc.).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Technical :

• Class A CDL license without restrictions.
• Must have a clean CDL driving record.
• CDL driving experience.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.

Desired Skills & Qualifications :

• Tanker endorsement (CDL) preferred.
• Entry level mechanic experience
