Inventory Control Coordinator

Position Summary :

The Coordinator of Inventory Control is responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory. Associates in this role provides guidance, training, and direction to distribution associates and leadership.

Coordinator must be certified and able to safety operate warehouse equipment. In addition, he / she supports and maintains warehouse control systems.

Lastly, performs physical inventory counts, and reconciles actual count to computer-generated reports.

This role, collaborates with numerous departments and locations within the company to problem solve, investigate inventory movement, and provide insight to leadership to improve processes.

Essential Functions :

  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and inventory control.
  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
  • Database management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
  • Experience using a personal computer or portable device is required.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a multi-office / Distribution environment and willingness to travel to other locations as required.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Distribution Center experience 2 years preferred
  • Furniture and / or appliance exposure preferred

Physical requirements and / or environment :

  • Must be able to constantly work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  • Ability to occasionally move / position product weighing up to 150 lbs. without assistance and up to 250 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly or other equipment.
