Job Description:

The Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from planning and scheduling to project completion. This position requires full-time travel to various project sites, primarily focusing on light industrial and commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including resource allocation and sequencing of work.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, budget updates, and other project documentation as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on healthcare/commercial projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of construction best practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in various locations as needed.
