*FULL-TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED*
Job Description:
The Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from planning and scheduling to project completion. This position requires full-time travel to various project sites, primarily focusing on light industrial and commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, including resource allocation and sequencing of work.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, budget updates, and other project documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on healthcare/commercial projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of construction best practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in various locations as needed.
