Responsibilities: Accurately handle and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Resolve client overpayments and determine correct cash application or refund parties. Communicate with attorneys, clients, and insurance carriers regarding cash application and unapplied cash issues. Process refund requests and return duplicate checks to clients. Research and apply incoming check, wire, credit card, and ACH payments promptly. Post daily cash receipts to firm Operating and IOLTA accounts. Forward preapproved invoices to insured clients. Monitor IOLTA accounts and apply or refund funds based on attorney communications. Contact clients with delinquent accounts to secure payments and manage payment plans. Use 3E collections module to record detailed notes on customer communications. Utilize reports to manage aged receivables and take appropriate actions. Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues promptly and professionally. Respond to emails and calls in a timely manner. Required Skills/Abilities: 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable. Excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational skills. Professional interaction with clients, attorneys, staff, and management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software. Ability to operate office equipment and work in a paperless system. Independent work capability in a fast-paced environment. Proactive work approach with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
