Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, and cardiac catheterizations
Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as fluoroscopes and hemodynamic monitoring systems
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and positioning them correctly
Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural data
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
Maintain sterile fields and adhere to infection control protocols
Collaborate with the cardiovascular team to provide comprehensive patient care
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology and procedures
Education And Certification Requirements:
Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist in a clinical setting
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
