Job Description:
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, and cardiac catheterizations
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as fluoroscopes and hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and positioning them correctly
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural data
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Maintain sterile fields and adhere to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the cardiovascular team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology and procedures
- Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
