Job Description:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging, non-imaging, and therapeutic procedures
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural data
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulations
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and procedures
- Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine principles, practices, and safety procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
