ASSOCIATE, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND ORIGINATION
SUMMARY :
The Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking an Associate to join its growing Financing Programs team to provide support related to program development and origination.
The Financing Programs team is responsible for the Green Bank's clean energy lending programs, including C-PACE, Solar PPA, Solar Loan, and Solar Lease. The Associate will provide programmatic support to the Director of Program Development and Origination as they work with property owners, contractors, developers, utilities, municipalities, and other partners to identify project opportunities and develop those until the point of submission of an application for Green Bank financing.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES :
Individual responsibilities may include:
  • Fielding, managing, and triaging incoming leads and inquiries from building owners, contractors, and other partners via e-mail and telephone;
  • Using Salesforce to input and track project lead information, as well as create and maintain Salesforce dashboards, reports, and other data outputs;
  • Supporting contractor-led project development across all Green Bank Financing Programs, including C-PACE;
  • Liaising with Green Bank project partners;
  • Providing guidance and direction to prospective program participants about the Connecticut clean energy incentive and financing landscape;
  • Assisting with market research to develop new aspects of existing programs, improving existing processes, and helping to develop new programs;
  • Supporting Registered contractor governance, including managing applications and compliance;
  • Supporting the Green Bank Contractor Training Program;
  • Supporting the management of pilot programs, initiatives, and partnerships;
  • Contributing to the development of Financing Program marketing materials; and
  • Related duties as required.
The overall duties of this position will be refined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the individual hired and the ongoing needs of the team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
The following minimum qualifications in knowledge, skill and ability are required:
  • Demonstrated interest in clean energy and/or clean energy finance through coursework and/or work experience, and a strong willingness to learn;
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work with limited supervision;
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with emphasis on providing internal and external customer service;
  • Comfort with public speaking;
  • Ability to work efficiently on assigned tasks independently and as part of a team;
  • Creative problem-solving abilities;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Experience with Salesforce is highly preferred, but not required.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING :
General Experience:
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience supporting projects or programs, with clean energy-focused projects or programs preferred.
  • Experience working in commercial solar a plus.
Substitutions Allowed:
  • A bachelor's degree may be substituted for four (4) years of general experience. In this situation, the candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year of full-time work experience.
The Green Bank will determine if this position will be filled at the Associate or Senior Associate level based on the experience and qualifications of the individual selected.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS :
  • This position reports directly to the Director, Program Development and Origination on the Green Bank's financing programs team.
  • It is expected that the position will be based in the Green Bank's Hartford, CT offices, with opportunities for some remote work.
  • State of CT benefits package, including generous time-off, health insurance covering medical, dental and vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement for continuing education, and paid leave.
  • Salary commensurate with experience, ranging between $64,000 - $84,000.
