EVident Battery develops a comprehensive and non-destructive inspection and scanning solution for EV battery packs. Our technology combines inspection hardware and analytics software to improve transparency and certainty in the EV market.

Front-End Developer

EVident Battery is hiring a Front-End Developer to join a collaborative team of experts in various fields, including engineering, machine learning, and EV battery reliability. The Frontend developer will gain invaluable professional development experience in a company setting new industry standards for EV battery services.

What You’ll Do:

The Front-End Developer will deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models to the cloud and develop an intuitive application for user interaction and data visualization, leveraging modern technologies like Terraform, HTMX, and Ansible to ensure a seamless, scalable, and interactive experience.

User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) Development and Design

• Develop interactive and responsive web applications, ensuring an engaging user experience with real-time data visualization.

Feature Release and Deployment

• Implement automated, reproducible cloud infrastructure provisioning, ensuring a scalable and reliable foundation for the application.
• Contribute to the development of new features, based on feedback from stakeholders and users, to continuously improve our technology platform.

Cross-Collaboration

• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure the smooth operation of our web services.

About You:

• Current enrollment or completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related degree program.
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one of the modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js), and familiarity with backend frameworks (Flask, Django, Express.js).
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles and a keen eye for aesthetics and details.
• Familiarity with database management (SQL and NoSQL databases) and principles of data visualization.
• Experience deploying machine learning models to the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) technologies like Terraform a plus.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Previous internship or project experience in software development, data engineering, or data science is preferred.
• Desire to contribute to a quickly growing startup.
• Able to work hybrid at the ClimateHaven office in New Haven, CT.
