Connecting Mothers Initiative is Hiring a Project Manager - Resource Hub Near New Haven, CT

Role Title: Project Manager - Resource Hub

Reports to: Executive Director

MISSION STATEMENT: We are dedicated to nurturing a supportive community for mothers and birth givers who feel disconnected or lack a traditional village network. Our mission is to cultivate emotional, physical, and economic stability by providing a safe space abundant with resources and support. We strive to empower individuals to navigate the journey of motherhood with confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Job Description: The Project Manager - Resource Hub plays a pivotal role in driving Connecting Mothers Initiative’s mission forward by overseeing the development and maintenance of our Resource Hub. The Resource Hub is a comprehensive list of resources broken down by all 50 states and further by each county within those states. We have numerous categories to break down these resources, and the Project Manager will oversee a team of 3-4 interns and/or volunteers who compile these resources. This is a remote volunteer position, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, necessitating comfort with remote coordination and maintaining a high level of communication. As a community organization pursuing 501(c)(3) designation status as a nonprofit, the ideal candidate will thrive in a startup environment.

Duration: 6 months, with the option to commit longer based on performance.

Compensation: This is not a paid position.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Resource Hub, ensuring comprehensive and accurate compilation of resources for all 50 states and their respective counties.
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 interns and/or volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective resource gathering and categorization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, team members, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and user needs.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of the Resource Hub to maintain accuracy and relevance.
  • Stay informed about best practices in resource compilation, data management, and emerging technologies to enhance the Resource Hub.
  • Maintain documentation of the Resource Hub’s architecture, methodologies, and updates for future reference.
  • Communicate effectively with the Executive Director, team members, and all stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, sharing ideas, and addressing any challenges.

Requirements: The Project Manager - Resource Hub should have the following skills, education, and experience:

  • Completed or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Management, Library Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a non-profit or resource compilation context.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Availability to attend weekly leadership meetings.
  • Availability to attend bi-weekly Organization Sync-Up meetings.
  • Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.

Benefits: Flexible schedule, college credit, and resume-building experience.

Note: We strongly encourage mothers, including those in school or seeking career transitions, to apply, as part of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
