About this role:

The Talent Resources Specialist provides support for all aspects of the Talent Resources function ensuring all activities, programs, processes, and procedures are aligned with the Bank’s mission and values.

In this role you will:

  • Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
  • First line of contact for HR questions including employee/manager queries; policy/procedure questions and/or basic benefits questions.
  • Assist with the administration of processes and procedures, ensuring compliance to all Company, Local, State and Federal guidelines.
  • HRIS data entry and maintenance of data integrity including administration of timekeeping programs and compilation of reports as needed.
  • Assist and support the annual employee review process.
  • Handle confidential HR files and maintain records appropriately.
  • Support the new hire processes and ensure successful on-boarding of employees including facilitating new hire orientation as well as support the exit process.
  • Continuously seek to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes and bring new ideas to the Talent team.
  • Partner with other Talent functions and teams as needed for support and project coordination.
  • Additional duties as needed.

Must haves:

  • Strong “People First” interest and ability.
  • Knowledge of organizational behavior/organizational development.
  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws including EEOC, INS, ADEA, ERISA, NLRB, ADA, FMLA and FLSA laws.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.
  • Excellent PC skills.

Bonus Points For:

  • Working knowledge of Google apps and products.
  • Two to three years of Human Resources or relevant work experience.
