COMPENSATION: $110,000 - $140,000 (Based on experience and Market Rate) Bonus

SUMMARY

An experienced Construction Project Engineer to assist our project management team with the administration of complex construction projects in the NY Metropolitan market. The successful candidate work at the direction of the project manager and demonstrate the potential for future career growth.

This position requires the ability to understand project plans, specifications, safety, job cost, client, and corporate organizational requirements.

The project engineer will collaborate with the project manager, project superintendent, estimating department, vendors, sub-contractors, consultants, inspection staff, Owners, schedulers, and other project stakeholders 

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain logs, time sheets, daily reports, photographs, and other project documentation.

· Assist supervisors with accessing and understanding technical requirements.

· Conform drawings and specifications as they may be updated.

· Review and understand job costs per the proposal.

· Generate purchase order requests, sub-contract agreements, and pursue buyouts.

· Order supplies and materials as directed.

· Assist the project manager with scheduling, establishing job cost reports, and the scheduling of supplies, subcontractors, and equipment.

· Assist with Code Rule 753 obligations.

· Document minority utilization and good faith efforts.

· Maintain records of construction cost and production for use by the estimating department.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a project engineer. Experience as an engineering intern will be considered.
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
• Design-Build and Best Value experience is a desirable.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, and MS Project. P6, Trimble Business Systems, Bluebeam, and Autocad experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction/ project management software such as Procore and Timberline.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational, time-management skills, and self-motivation are necessary.
• Ability to work nights, if required.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
• BS in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
