CONSOR Engineers is Hiring a Senior Construction Project Engineer Near Tampa, FL

What Your Day Will Look Like:

:

As a Senior Project Engineer, You`ll provide construction project oversight providing certification of record documents, material compliance certification, and a projects general compliance with all contract documents. You`ll apply engineering knowledge and principles to a project teams efforts and serve as the highest authority within the consultant project team. You`ll manage contract time, coordinate with the engineer of record to resolve project design issues, and review and approve the contract change orders along with the supplemental agreements. Provide guidance and support for the processes performed and implemented by the project field staff. The senior project engineer reports to the project administrator.

What You'll Do:

:
  • Communicate directly with the owner representative of the project contractor community to plan complex operations and resolve contract challenges.
  • Perform monthly CPM Schedule review and approval.
  • Process engineering analysis reports and associated recommendations to resolve material disposition issues with failures in material quality.
  • Provide leadership to other administrative staff in the assembly of the monthly progress payments and all supporting information per project procedure.
  • Plan work details and make technical decisions related to engineering concepts, application of engineering, and use of engineering principles in the implementation and resolution of complex project activities and problem resolution.
  • Develop and maintain good communication with members of the contract team such as the client, contractor, and other stakeholders.
  • Must be able to organize the work of subordinate staff members, and develop or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures for conformance with client standards.

What You'll Need:

:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil, construction management, or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum ten years of experience in transportation engineering or construction management.
  • Obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualification tests for the position in specified time frames.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • This field job primarily operates in outside work environments that may include exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements. While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle. This job may require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
