The Role:
The Actuarial and Analytics team seeks to positively impact sales and retention results through the production of data and analytics. We compile, analyze, and distribute data and tools to support sales and marketing activity for our member national accounts. Our ability to manage data and extract meaningful insights has a direct and immediate impact on sales performance.
The Associate Director will support the collection of healthcare claims data, the validation and processing of the data, and the delivery of the data into Consortium products and services. In addition, the individual will conduct analyses to support the development and operations of products and services that demonstrate the strength and economic value of our member organizations. This role will include both data and analytical responsibilities, including communicating technical observations to less technical audiences, as well as project coordination and leadership opportunities.
The Candidate:
Consortium Health Plans is seeking new innovative approaches to grow their member organization's national account client base. Consortium Health Plans is seeking a versatile high-performer with a passion for health care who can work collaboratively with Consortium staff and member organizations to execute our data and analytics strategy.
This individual will work closely with internal business function leaders, internal IT resources, external partners who provide data and local expertise to support Consortium's analytics capabilities.
The candidate must have strong analytical skills, a collaborative attitude, keen attention to detail, and the ability to keep pace with a fast-changing environment.
Essential Responsibilities (must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation) :
•Prepare and communicate the key findings of data analyses internally to the Actuarial & Analytics team and externally to member organizations
•Research and resolve data issues impacting Plan- and market- level performance indicators, collaborating with technical experts as needed
•Interact with other departmental staff to efficiently integrate healthcare analytics with Consortium products and services, including rebuilding a data reporting product available to member organizations
•Collaborate with the IT and Actuarial & Analytics teams to evaluate and implement data process improvements based on the market requirements and business specifications
•Develop clear and succinct communications to member organizations regarding data process requirements and updates
•Prepare effective Power Point presentations that include a logical and compelling story arc and clearly articulate a point of view or recommendation; includes internal and external audiences
•Coordinate ongoing meetings with external vendors and monitor progress toward key priorities
•Participate in member organization, consultant, and vendor meetings, as needed
•Monitor and manage all aspects of responsibilities by organizing, planning, and tracking assigned tasks and activities in accordance with team priorities utilizing comprehensive project plans for analysis and reporting
•Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project management, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, data applicability and use, and resource allocation
•Comply with all information privacy and security policies as specified in the "Consortium Health Plans Information Privacy & Security Policy Manual"
Qualifications and Skills:
•Minimum of 3 years of experience working in commercial healthcare
•Adept in the areas of research, data compilation/manipulation, and qualitative analysis
•Experience in managing projects involving multiple workstreams and stakeholders
•Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Bachelor's degree required in related discipline (e.g. Business, Healthcare Administration, or similar)

•Ability to actively listen to stakeholders, and create alignment through the use of reason, data and empathy

Physical Demands:
•Position is primarily sedentary and requires extensive computer work and participation on conference calls
•Travel as needed (less than 5%)
Sponsorship:
•Consortium does not participate in visa sponsorship, including the transfer of sponsorship from another employer
Salary Expectations:
•Dependent on experience, up to $160,000
