Construction Information Systems is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Kinnelon, NJ

CIS, a rapidly growing local company, hires the best -- people with a desire to jump in and join our fast-paced, client-oriented environment. We are currently seeking an Operations Manager for our Kinnelon office and/or Mahwah office.

The Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing various functions within the CIS Operations Division. This individual will lead teams responsible for obtaining and updating time-sensitive data regarding public and private construction projects in multiple states as well as establishing relationships with project owners and design firms. The Operations Manager needs to drive efficiency and ensure seamless processes across various departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Staffing and Onboarding:
  • Track staffing needs and collaborate with senior management to hire and onboard new employees as required.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of new hires and ensure smooth integration of new team members.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, motivate, and support a large team in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
  • Foster a positive and customer-centric culture while maintaining high integrity standards.
  • Productivity and Data Management:
  • Manage teamwork coverage to meet daily productivity targets.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Effective Communication:
  • Utilize strong communication skills to facilitate conflict resolution among team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align operations with organizational goals.
  • Process Efficiency:
  • Continuously evaluate existing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and streamline workflows.
  • Performance Monitoring and Coaching:
  • Monitor employee and team performance.
  • Provide coaching, training, and constructive feedback to inspire growth and motivation.
  • Incentive Programs and Advancement:
  • Assist management in creating clear incentive initiatives for staff development and advancement.
  • Encourage professional growth and recognize achievements.

Qualifications: To be considered for the CIS Operations Manager position, you will need to meet the following requirements and have a proven track record of the following skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
  • Ability to lead and see the big picture.
  • Management of multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Handling multiple responsibilities while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis, reporting, and communication.
  • Skill in resolving conflicts among team members or with other departments.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to connect with staff, build relationships, and foster a positive work environment.
