Summary/Objective
This position will perform a wide variety of activities related to scheduling template activities, training and managing templaters, preparing for complex installations, attending complex templates, mentoring subcontractors, meeting clients as needed and accessing difficult repairs/issues.

Essential Functions

• Actively participate in the day-to-day management of the template team. This includes, but is not limited to, granite, quartz, solid surface, porcelain.
• Work to advance knowledge of templating technology and best practices.
• Assist with residential estimation as needed.
• Create and maintain the template schedule.
• Liaise with General Contractors and Subcontractors regarding complex projects.
• Review complex templates to ensure proper quality.
• Attend onsite Construction meetings and installations as needed.
• Effective communicator both verbally and electronically
• Performing plan quantity take-offs and minimal estimating for bids as needed.
• Complete drawings as needed on stick templates, FHBS and complex installations.

Competencies/Skills/Abilities

• Strong communication skills.
• Must be organized and able to follow through and complete assigned task
• Knowledgeable in MS Office and Excel
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in management (Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, or Project Management) preferred
• 4-year degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred
• Understanding of construction estimating, scheduling and drawing reading
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company
• Ability to multi-task and work within specified timeframes
• Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
• Previous work experience in the construction or distribution industry a plus

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities over the template team.

Work Environment
This job operates in a shop and jobsite environment.

The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35-40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
