Job Description: Jr. Cisco Security Engineer
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Cisco Security Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for entry level candidates or individuals with foundational knowledge and skills in Cisco security technologies who are eager to grow their careers in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CCNA Security fundamentals, and knowledge in Cisco Firepower, Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client), Cisco Secure Endpoint solutions, and Cisco DevNet concepts.
Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of Cisco security solutions, including Firepower, Client, and Secure Endpoint.
• Support ongoing security assessments and vulnerability management for network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement security policies and best practices within the organization.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts using Cisco security tools and other relevant technologies.
• Conduct troubleshooting and problem resolution for network security issues.
• Participate in the documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures related to security operations.
• Assist in training and awareness programs to promote a culture of security within the organization.
• Stay current with new security threats and technology advancements in the Cisco security ecosystem.
• Work with development teams to integrate security practices into the DevOps pipeline (DevSecOps) as guided by senior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience with CCNA Security fundamentals
• DevNet Associate Certification (or higher)
• Familiarity with Cisco Firepower (Next-Generation Firewall) and its implementation.
• Knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client) for policy management and network access control.
• Understanding of Cisco Secure Endpoint (formerly AMP for Endpoints) for endpoint protection.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
