Description:

Our client has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer, who will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting Confluent Kafka on-premise with optional skills with Redpanda

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• 3 – 5 years of experience
• Experience with Confluent Kafka - on-prem installation, configuration, and support
• Experience with Ansible, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Agile SDLC, Jira, and Linux (RedHat v8 or later)
• Experience with Redpanda - on-prem installation, configuration, and support is a plus
• Experience with LDAP and Kerberos is a plus
• Ability to identify, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirement
• Knowledge of networking computer hardware and software

Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, and supporting an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system or a segment of a network system
• Directing staff to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replacing defective components when necessary
• Reviewing and approving the planning and implementation of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Reviewing and approving the design, configuration, and testing of computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
• Monitoring network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and counsel the organization on where changes will need to be made in the future
• Presenting system flow diagrams to the organization and reviewing and approving systems procedures
• Supervising systems implementation
• Supervising and assisting in computer networking and computer operation functions
