OverviewA leading eDiscovery technology and consulting firm headquartered in Washington DC is looking for an Associate Director of eDiscovery Operations. This remote position is ideal for someone with 5plus years of experience in data processing with complete understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). The qualified candidate should be a self-starter with prior experience leading a team, highly motivated and motivated.
Duties Of The Position
  • Lead and manage the eDiscovery operations team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and continuous development.
  • Work closely with project management, forensics, and other internal team members on completing complex projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Develop and implement eDiscovery strategies, protocols, and procedures to optimize efficiency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and refining procedures to accomplish discovery process requirements
  • Integrate emerging data sources, such as social media, mobile data, and cloud-based platforms, into the eDiscovery process.
  • Provide 3rd party Relativity application support (i.e. Blackout, Veritone, etc.) which includes setup and development of standard operations procedures.
  • Handle complex and sensitive eDiscovery issues, providing expert guidance and resolution.
  • Ensure high availability and optimal performance of eDiscovery applications (i.e. Relativity)
  • Manage and deploy hotfixes and patches to address urgent issues and vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Coordinate and oversee regular upgrades and updates to eDiscovery applications, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Monitor Relativity application performance and system logs to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, changes, and support procedures.
  • Generating and distributing reporting metrics and KPI's to your assigned team members on a regular basis
  • Responsible for providing performance reviews to the Director and supporting them as they provide feedback to the assigned reports on the team.
  • In partnership and collaboration with the Director, provide leadership and oversight of project teams, including managing team utilization, onboarding, training needs and serving as a primary point of escalation for assigned teams.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving application-related issues efficiently.
Experience
  • B.S. or B.A. degree, preferably in information technology, computer science, or other related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in eDiscovery operations with a proven record of accomplishment personally performing data processing, productions, and application support
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in operational roles displaying growth and 5 years' experience displaying ‘Leadership Responsibilities’
  • Strong knowledge of eDiscovery tools and technologies (Relativity, Nuix Workstation, Cloud9 LAW Pre-Discovery, etc.)
  • Complete understanding of the EDRM to assist in custom workflows
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Prior experience writing MS SQL scripts
  • Deep understanding of various file types including archive files, forensic images, drawing files, etc.
  • A basic understanding of digital forensic preservation functions
  • Familiarity with scripting, programming, coding, and/or database languages (SQL, VB, HTML, Access)

  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary to ensure client deadlines are met
  • Ability to demonstrate superior organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in time sensitive situations
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines
  • Ability to troubleshoot and communicate results to a team
