What is the Specific Role Where You Can Make a Difference?
We are seeking a self-motivated candidate to fill the role of Production Category Management Supervisor in Supply Chain, embracing a philosophy of field/asset led sourcing activity with centralized guidance and oversight. This role will be immersed in the business, working with engineering, operations, accounting/finance, IT, and other functional groups to help optimize the strategic sourcing of goods and services within our assets.
Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collecting, manipulating, and analyzing data from internal and external sources to identify benchmarks, patterns/trends, efficiencies/deficiencies, help create and sustain value.
- Identifying and implementing supply chain policies, processes, and technologies to support the business needs in an ever-changing market, obtaining buy-in across all levels of the organization.
- Evaluating overall supply chain performance in relation to established Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), proactively adjusting tactics as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- Coaching multi-discipline teams to develop and adhere to key elements of category strategies for E&P and some midstream operations, including sourcing events, bid processes, contract negotiations and execution.
- Working with key stakeholders and suppliers to accurately forecast material demands and supply needs, placing orders to ensure adequate inventory levels and to avoid operational down time.
- Developing and maintaining valuable local and regional supply relationships and ensuring supplier performance management through measurement of KPI’s.
What Skills, Qualifications, and Experience are Expected for this Role?
- Several years of strategic sourcing, category management and/or general supply chain experience is required. Specific experience on the production side within oil & gas is strongly preferred.
- Success building production category management processes
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, or a relevant field – finance, data science, or similar is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.
- An ideal candidate would:
- Have experience with projects, operations, engineering, and logistics within E&P and/or midstream operations.
- Be proficient in negotiating and executing Master Service Agreements (MSAs), contracts and other commercial agreements such as Call Off Orders (COOs), Scopes of Works (SOWs), etc.
- Be proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, data analysis and visualization tools and techniques.
- Have prior supervisory experience. While this is an individual contributor role for now, the hope is that the candidate will move into a supervisor role leading 1-2 analysts as we grow.
