About the Position Packaging Operators perform essential food manufacturing tasks and operate equipment to ensure quality, compliant products from the production line to final packaging and shipment.

Flexibility is required, as applicants must be available for overtime and periodically work 1st Shift hours based on business needs. Essential Job Functions :

  • Production & Packaging : Hand sorting, case packing, stacking pallets, and replenishing supplies.
  • Quality Assurance : Conduct quality checks on all materials, ingredients, and finished products.
  • Maintenance : Perform routine and preventive maintenance on packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Sanitation : Execute daily and monthly sanitation tasks in production and packaging areas, ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Company regulations.
  • Documentation : Ensure that all work in the packaging area meets the requirements of process quality, compliance quality, food safety, and general safety programs.
  • Training & Development : Learn new methods and assist in training others as processes evolve. Position Requirements : To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements.

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment runs efficiently.

  • Monitor products for defects, ensuring only compliant products are packaged and shipped.
  • Conduct quality checks at regular intervals to maintain high standards. Teamwork & Collaboration :

  • Foster a supportive and cooperative work environment. Problem-Solving :
  • Quickly identify and address operational issues during production.
  • Apply critical thinking to resolve unexpected challenges and minimize downtime.
  • Suggest process improvements for enhanced efficiency. Safety Awareness :
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Safeguard product quality and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), housekeeping, and food safety guidelines.
  • Proactively identify and report potential hazards to supervisors. Time Management :
  • Manage time efficiently to ensure all tasks are completed within established deadlines.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility :
  • Adapt to changes in production schedules and operational needs.
  • Willingness to work overtime or varying shifts as needed. Characteristics & Attributes :
  • Maintain an acceptable level of attendance consistently.
  • Exhibit the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed on time. Education and Experience :
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous food processing experience is preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift when required and willing to work overtime.
  • Must be able to lift 50-pound bags throughout an 8-hour day.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a background check, chemical drug screen, and reference check in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment : As a member of the Packaging Team, you will be exposed to various physical demands, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, bending, twisting, squatting, and using tools and equipment.

Team members stand and walk on concrete while wearing steel-toed shoes, company-provided uniforms, hair nets, bump caps, gloves, and safety glasses.
