ContractRecruiter.com is Hiring a Cultural Resources Program Manager Near Baton Rouge, LA

This position as a Cultural Resources Manager is full time. Employee will develop, manage, and grow a cultural resources service line. Assignments will be in the Cultural Resources Group, based in the Providence Baton Rouge office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS(Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Working knowledge of federal, state and/or local regulations (e.g., National Environmental Policy Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106) governing cultural resources management.
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field and a minimum of seven to ten years (7 - 10 years) of experience in Cultural Resource Management.
  • Experience in project planning, coordination, scheduling, creating/tracking budgets, and resource management.
  • A proven technical background in cultural resources, project management, and business development are required.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience with state and federal permitting as lead author on technical cultural resources reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of cultural resources projects, including fieldwork, research, and report writing, with responsibility for successful on-time and on-budget completion of projects.
  • Supervise, direct, and instruct personnel in the field and in the office.
  • Conduct and oversee fieldwork, including inventory, data recovery, and monitoring. Manage Quality Assurance/Quality Control, organize, and track data.
  • Conduct and oversee laboratory analyses and office-based research.
  • Prepare and create high-quality proposals, scientific reports, site form(s) preparation, research, and literature reviews within scope, on budget, and on time.
  • Coordinate, and develop relationships, with clients and agency personnel.
  • Take leadership in business development and marketing and development of new client relationships.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Willingness to travelon short notice.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive long distances.
  • Ability to communicate, interact, and function effectively with individuals as well with large groups.
