Position Title: Cyber Analyst, IT Operations

Position Summary:

We are seeking a positive and professional Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT Ops/Digital team. The Cybersecurity role will play an instrumental role in improving the Cybersecurity posture, managing, and creating IT policies and documentation, conducting cybersecurity assessments and reviews both internally, and across multiple portfolio companies. They will work closely with IT Operations and IT Digital team members on portfolio company projects, and other internal IT Projects as needed. Additionally, they will also be asked to understand our cloud environment, be involved in Cyber and software training, and assist with migration support as well as general customer support for products and digital program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide awareness and guidance to Portfolio Companies related to secure business processes, architecture design, and technical controls.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments for our Portfolio Companies, then report findings and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Reviews internal applications and new software rollouts for potential cybersecurity risks.
  • Assists in the annual review and update of IT and Cybersecurity policies.
  • Assist in additional ongoing IT Ops projects and deliverables. Create and update quality documentation of IT troubleshooting best practices, services, processes, policies, and cybersecurity.
  • Process service requests as they arrive through ticketing system, emails, manual entry, or direct customer input
  • Communicate with internal technical resources appropriately.
  • Communication with customers/end-users as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
  • Fast turnaround of customer and management requests.
  • Improve usage and increase productivity of IT support resources.
  • Escalate service requests that cannot be scheduled within agreed service levels.
  • Responsible for entering time and expenses as it occurs
  • Enter all work as service tickets into the Ticketing System
  • Additional assistance with on-going project work may be requested as needed by the Head of IT Ops or a Team member.
  • Consistently gain knowledge and/or certification in relevant or assigned technologies,
  • Work collaboratively with your IT peers, Portfolio Companies, and our community to solve problems

Preferred Education Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Security, Management Information Systems, Risk Management, or equivalent work experience acceptable
  • 2 years in a cybersecurity-related role
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as NIST
  • Experience as a Security Analyst or similar role such as working for a Cyber Assessment company.
  • Experience with Azure / Office 365 /Exchange cyber security controls and related features.
  • Prior experience in a team conducting cyber security assessments and creating reports.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for Cyber Security, self-learning, and continued education in the domain
  • Strong listener with the ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written • Ability to lead a cybersecurity project/assessment through the entire assessment cycle.

Highly Desired

  • Ability to deal with multiple, competing objectives. Ability to stay flexible, and shift focus based on high-priority items.
  • Ability to walk into a conference room during an ongoing meeting to troubleshoot an issue and communicate with the requestor regarding the issue.
  • Breadth of knowledge particularly in the areas of desktop, mobile, network, and software a plus.
  • Knowledge of standard software packages and cybersecurity tools, a plus.
