As a BU Finance Associate, you will be responsible for working alongside our Business Unit non-financial managers to develop and improve commercial and financial decision making in support of maximizing financial results. As a trusted associate you will provide support and analysis to operations and management to add value to the business, influence day to day decisions, help shape strategy and the direction of the business.
Job Overview: The Finance Associate will assist the finance team in managing and executing daily financial tasks, ensuring the company's financial operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
•Assist with the preparation of operating budgets, financial statements, and other ad-hoc reports to better service the business unit.
•Support sales opportunity evaluation and ensure consistency with business strategy and financial targets.
•Collaborate with internal departments to provide weekly and monthly operational and financial metrics, Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), board presentation support, and other ad hoc items.
•Analyze financial data and assist with improved project financial reporting, project risk anticipation and mitigation, and audits.
•Maintain up-to-date financial spreadsheets and reports.
•Develop financial analysis tools for bettering comprehension of financial results and project-level forecasting.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field required.
•At least 2 years of experience as a finance associate/analyst.
•In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and fiscal procedures.
•Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
•Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
•Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Desired Skills:
•Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other spreadsheet and database packages (e.g. PowerBI, SQL Server, etc).
•Proficient in utilizing data warehouse tools and technologies to gather, clean, and organize large and disparate datasets for meaningful insights. Adept at translating data warehouse information into actionable business intelligence, aiding in decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.
•Ability to interpret complex financial reports and identify necessary adjustments.
Certifications (optional):
•CPA, CFA, or similar certifications are advantageous.
Physical Demands:
•While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
