Convoy of Hope is Hiring a Strategic Partnership Manager Near Springfield, MO

Ministry Function

The Strategic Partnership Manager provides excellent and timely management of a variety of relationship-oriented activities, including the opportunities process, mission critical partner exploration and maintenance, and inter-working group facilitation and support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Pursues, vets, and nurtures mission critical relationships and opportunities with existing and future like-minded practitioners, product and resourcing partners, donors, and implementing organizations through personal contact, emails, letters, and phone calls as directed.
  2. Supports the creation of mission critical pilot projects and opportunity proposals in collaboration with Global Program Leadership and Global Program team members while ensuring vetting with all appropriate stakeholders.
  3. Serves as a liaison for Global Program with Supply Chain (Procurement) to develop and implement cross-functional systems and processes.
  4. Researches and develops mission critical relationships within key sectors supporting global asset-based community development.
  5. Manages the inflow system of, and makes recommendations on, opportunities that fit the mission, program scope, and capacity of Global Program (e.g., federal funding, partnership proposals, and product pilot projects).
  6. Assists team through the proposal process for assigned funding opportunities, including through writing, research, and budget creation.
  7. Distributes valuable information obtained through research, partnerships, and attending mission critical industry events to Global Program stakeholders as assigned.
  8. Assists in hosting donor and VIP trips as assigned.
  9. Represents Convoy of Hope through public speaking, meetings, and writing as assigned.
  10. Fulfills other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in international development, economics, international business, intercultural studies, public policy, or another relevant field is required.
  2. Three or more years of relevant work experience is required. International work experience is strongly preferred.
  3. This position is based in Springfield, Missouri.
  4. Demonstrates experience managing and organizing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  5. Exhibits strong detail orientation and follow through.
  6. Displays exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills to communicate the work of Global Program, both within the organization and to partners and other external stakeholders.
  7. Possesses drive, self-motivation, professionalism, independence, passion, flexibility, and the ability to work under demanding and changing circumstances.
  8. Willing to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.
  9. Demonstrates cultural understanding and respect to handle sensitive cultural issues and maintain international relationships.
  10. Possesses advanced computer knowledge and experience with MS Office, Macintosh, and Google systems. Experience with Salesforce or other online databases is preferred.
  1. Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
  2. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
  3. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  4. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
