Role Description
Responsible for the design and development of fire sprinkler layouts that offer structural compliance and maximum efficiency while meeting legal and industry standards. The individual should have a firm understanding of all aspects of fire sprinkler design and mechanical contracting and be able to communicate effectively with contractors, designers, owners, and job-site personnel while representing Cooper Fire Protection Services, Inc. in a professional manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Perform research and analysis, utilizing feedback from other industry experts.
· Coordination with engineers and technicians. BIM coordination.
· Stays current with all design software and attends training as needed and/or required.
· Reads blueprints.
· Provide field support as needed.
· Submit designs for approval by architect/engineer/customer and AHJ.
· Provide hydraulic calculations and stock listing.
