Cooper Steel is Hiring an On-Site Safety Manager Near Marina, CA
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the company and subcontractors maintaining Cooper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, Production
- Travel to job sites nationwide to observe steel erection activities, safety procedures, and perform safety audits. The information is reported back to the Safety Director with findings and concerns to be addressed
- Assist steel erection crews in performing safety tasks such as erecting barricades, installing safety systems, ensuring all safety documentation is completed
- Act as assigned On-Site Safety Manager at specific projects for extended periods of time as needed
- Assist in training events for Cooper Steel personnel and sub-contractors as needed
- Perform field UA specimen collection when required
- Perform accident investigations and assist in root causes analysis
- Assist Safety Director on visits to prospective erectors to evaluate their erection and safety practices, and review their company safety policy and history
- Assist the Safety Administration Assistant in maintaining the Safety Registration Log by collecting information from the job site.
- Other duties as assigned
