Overview:

Kelemen North and South 9 is a two-sided, seventy-six bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Our staff care for a variety of patient populations, including cardiac, trauma, gastrointestinal, and psych. The ratio of patients to nurse is six to one, and we staff at least three critical care technicians (CCTs) on North and South side for patient care support. Also to support our staff are Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) which help with patient care, through put, and assignments. Nurses who are staffed on Kelemen 9 are required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications, which will allow competent and safe care for our complex patient populations.

Short Description:
The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required.
Education Requirements:

• Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing

License/Certification Requirements:

• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse);
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers);
• Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e., ACLS, NALS, PALS)
