Attend our Walk-in Interviews every Tuesday from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. at our Copa Ridge Location located at 737 W. Guadalupe Road, Ste 126, Mesa AZ 85210!!!
Pay Rate: $17.00/hourly
Who We Need
Copa Health is currently seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. This position offers the flexibility to work full-time as a Floater or participate in our PRN/Pool program. Our PRN/Pool program allows you to work across different shifts (day, evening, and overnight), including weekdays and weekends, providing the flexibility that our staff values. We are actively seeking individuals who excel in a flexible work environment and are especially interested in those available to work weekends.
Positions are working at various Copa Health sites throughout the East Valley: Community Living Services, Residential Services and Individual Support Services (ISS) 1:1. Opportunities available to transition to benefited, full-time positions!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires any combination of training, education, and/or experience equal to a high school diploma or GED
  • 90 days experience in the field of disabilities, preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and willingness to work on an on-call, as-needed basis to meet the program staffing requirements.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical clearance at the time of hire.
  • Successful completion of Copa's training program meeting the requirements of contacted funding sources; the Division of Developmental Disabilities and/or Department of Health Services.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and any other required background checks, including drug screen testing.
  • Ability to meet Copa's driver authorized driving requirements set forth by Copa's insurance company, (Arizona Driver's license upon hire, 39-month MVR, proof of insurance and vehicle registration), if applicable.
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) speaking preferred
JOB SUMMARY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
  • Provide individualized and quality services to individuals diagnosed with disabilities in supportive living and day programs.
  • Follows and teaches using service plans, teaching/performing daily living, leisure skills, and planning community involvement activities.
  • Adhere to HIPAA requirements of client confidentiality.
  • Transferring individuals from wheelchairs to changing tables, beds, chairs, and shower chairs.
  • Transport and assist individuals in and out of company vans.
  • Facility cleaning includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry.
  • Plan and prepare monthly menus of well-balanced meals/snacks that meet applicable dietary needs.
  • Teach and assist with personal hygiene which includes, but not limited to; showering, changing adult incontinent briefs, brushing teeth, shaving, and assisting with dressing.
  • Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, or crouching on various floor and ground surfaces.
  • Assess individual behavior and respond appropriately.
